Seven (7) Reasons to Read the Glorious Quran:

Say: "We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam)." [3:84]

1. Intimate:

It dares you to disprove it. How? It says that humans can not write a book like this even if they pooled all their resources together and got help also from the spirits. The Quran said this fourteen hundreds years ago and yet no one has been able to disprove it. Billions of books have been written - but not another one like the Quran.

2. Incorruptible:

It is the only religious sacred writing which has been in circulation for such a long time and yet remains as pure as it was in the beginning. The Quran was kept intact. Nothing was added to it; nothing was changed in it; and nothing was taken away from it ever since it was completely revealed 1400 years ago.

3. Unsurpassable:

The Quran is God's final revelation to humankind. God revealed the Torah to Moses, the Psalms to David, the Gospel to Jesus, and finally the Quran to Muhammad. Peace be upon all of them. No other book will come from God to surpass his final revelation.

4. Indisputable:

The Quran withstands the test of time and scrutiny. No one can dispute the truth of this book. It speaks about past history and turns out right. It speaks about the future in prophecies and it turns out right. It mentions details of physical phenomena which were not known to people at the time; yet later scientific discoveries confirm that the Quran was right all along. Every other book needs to be revised to accord with modern knowledge. The Quran alone is never contradicted by a modern discovery.

5. Your Road map for Life and Afterlife:

The Quran is the best guidebook on how to structure your life. No other book presents such a comprehensive system involving all aspects of human life and endeavor. The Quran also points out the way to secure everlasting happiness in the afterlife. It is your road map showing how to get to paradise.

6. God's Gift of Guidance:

God has not left you alone. You were made for a reason. God tells you why he made you, what he demands from you, and what he has in store for you. If you operate a machine contrary to its manufacture specification you will ruin that machine. What about you? Do you have an owner's manual for you? The Quran is from your function for success lest you fail to function. It is a healing mercy from God. It satisfies the soul, and cleans the heart. It removes doubts and brings peace.

7. Your Calling Card to Communicate with God:

Humans are social creatures. We love to communicate with other intelligent life. The Quran tells us how to communicate with the source of all intelligence and the source of all life- the One God. The Quran tells us who God is, by what name we should address God, and the way in which to communicate with God. Are these not seven sufficient reasons for reading the Quran?

PROPHET MUHAMMAD S.A.W IS THE BEST EXAMPLE OF DAI’E (PREACH):

  1. He is the messenger of Allah, which of course logically is the best example of all.
  2. He is a Prophet but at the same time, a normal human being. This can be proven by the way he lived, talked and others like, he did married, have kids, bleed and hurt in war and others.
  3. It is stated in the holy Qur'an that Prophet Muhammad S.A.W is the best example for all mankind. The verse somewhat sound like this: “And We have sent him to be the model for everyone to be a good Muslim.”
  4. Prophet Muhammad S.A.W gave a lot of hints on how to be good dai’e (preach). Some of them are, we must preach a person when he/she is not in a state of frustration and use simple but meaningful words.
  5. The purity characteristics of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. Some of them are, Siddiq (truthful), Amanah, Bright and others. In fact, Prophet Muhammad S.A.W was once called Al-Amin which means the trusted one among the people of Mecca.
  6. Through his preaching, Islam has spread throughout the world. He is definitely a role model for a successful dai’e (preach). His successful preaching had leaded his people to continue his struggle to convey the word of Allah throughout this world.
  7. He’s a Prophet, father and a preacher; he can handle all of the responsibilities. This can be told by looking into the Prophet’s history of life that he once had several wives and he was able to handle all of them as well as his normal daily life jobs.
  8. He doesn’t show any negative attitude while preaching. It is said that the Prophet never said any harsh words while giving preaching or advise. There’s a story that said the Prophet S.A.W was once been thrown with shit and his path was poured with fragments of glass.

Who Is Allah ?

Some of the biggest misconceptions that many non-Muslims have about Islam have to do with the word "Allah". Many people have come to believe that Muslims worship a different God than Christians and Jews. This is totally false!

Allah (God).

Islam is the complete submission and obedience to Allah (God). The name Allah (God) in Islam never refers to Muhammad (peace be upon him), as many Christians may think; Allah is the personal name of God.

Question:

What do Muslims believe about Allah (God)?

Answer:
  1. He is the one God, Who has no partner.
  2. Nothing is like Him. He is the Creator, not created, nor a part of His creation.
  3. He is All-Powerful, absolutely Just.
  4. There is no other entity in the entire universe worthy of worship besides Him.
  5. He is First, Last, and Everlasting; He was when nothing was, and will be when nothing else remains.
  6. He is the All-Knowing, and All-Merciful,the Supreme, the Sovereign.
  7. It is only He Who is capable of granting life to anything.
  8. He sent His Messengers (peace be upon them) to guide all of mankind.
  9. He sent Muhammad (peace be upon him) as the last Prophet and Messenger for all mankind.
  10. His book is the Holy Qur'an, the only authentic revealed book in the world that has been kept without change.
  11. Allah knows what is in our hearts.

These are some of the basic guidelines that Muslims people follow in their knowledge of God:
  1. Eliminate any anthropomorphism (human qualities) from their conception of Allah. His attributes are not like human attributes, despite similar labels or appellations.
  2. Have unwavering faith in exactly what Allah and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) described Allah to be, no more, no less.
  3. Eradicate any hope or desire of learning or knowing the modality of His names and attributes.
  4. Believe totally in all the names and attributes of Allah; one cannot believe in some and disbelieve the others.
  5. One cannot accept the names of Allah without their associated attributes, i.e. one cannot say He is Al-Hayy - 'The Living' and then say that He is without life.
  6. Similarity in names (or meanings) does not imply similarity in what is being described (referents). As a robotics arm differs from a human arm, so the "hand" of Allah is nothing like a human hand, His speech is nothing like human speech, etc.
  7. Certain words are ambiguous or vague in their meanings, and thus may be susceptible to misinterpretation. Only those meanings that are in accordance with what is specified by Allah and His Prophet (peace be upon him) are acceptable.
